- Apply online in or outside Australia.
- Work up to 40 hours every 2-week period once their course starts. Students studying a master’s degree by research or doctoral degree have no work hour limits.
- Travel in and out of Australia as long as their visa is valid.

Australian Student Visa Validity

Intakes in Australia
Australian universities typically have two main intakes per year:

The February/March intake is the most popular intake for international students, as it allows them to start their studies at the beginning of the Australian academic year. The July/August intake is a good option for students who miss the February/March intake or who want to start their studies later in the year.

Post-Study Work Permits in Australia
The Australian Government has announced an extension to post-study work rights for international students who graduate with select degrees in areas of verified skills shortage. The extension will take effect from 1 July 2023 and will allow eligible students to stay and work in Australia for up to two years longer than they previously could.
