Student visa requirements for Australia
Are you dreaming of studying in Australia? If so, you’ll need to apply for a student visa. Here are the requirements you need to meet:
- Be enrolled in a full-time course at an approved Australian education provider. Your course must be registered with the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
- Have proof of English language proficiency. You can demonstrate your English language proficiency by taking an approved English language test, such as the IELTS or TOEFL.
- Have enough money to support yourself during your stay in Australia. You’ll need to show that you have enough money to cover your tuition fees, living expenses, and return airfare.
- Purchase Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). OSHC is health insurance that covers you for medical expenses while you’re in Australia.
Be a genuine temporary entrant. This means that you intend to study in Australia and then return to your home country after you graduate.
